Winking Mermaid
Submission for OystHERS Logo Contest

I submitted this to the 2024 OystHERS  logo design contest. OystHERS is a woman-owned oyster bar in Bath, Maine, and they sought a design that featured bubbles and a woman in an oyster shell.

While technically my design featured a woman 'in oyster shells', (plural), I wanted to pull this mermaid out of the shell so  her awesome curves could be front and center. I also wanted to depict the textured top of the oyster shells, rather than obscure them by placing the oyster on its side.

While this design was the runner up, I've been encouraged to submit again in 2025.
